Most of us have tried rock-climbing and bungee jumping for an adrenaline rush. We’re okay with that level of adventure in our lives. But what about those adventure sports that sound unimaginably risky and too difficult to be true? There are some sports that go beyond extreme and call for people with minds made of steel. The average person just won’t be able to pull them off! We have here the top 5 extreme sports in the world for you to glance through. Read on and say hello to unending goosebumps!

Base jumping

An acronym for Building, Antennae, Span and Earth, essentially objects that one can jump off of, BASE jumping is one step ahead of sky diving and twice as dangerous owing to the lower altitudes of the jumps. While in some parts of the world Base jumping is considered illegal, for obvious reasons, it still is practised by many for the ultimate adrenaline rush.

Free solo climbing

AKA free soloing, this is a form of climbing that involves the climber and… that’s it, just the climber. The climber makes use of no equipment, not even ropes or any other protective equipment. Free soloing is usually done on mountains, boulders and rocks, and a fall may result in serious injury and even death. Not to be tried by beginners or the faint-hearted!

Wing walking

If free soloing sent shivers down your spine, wing walking will probably make you throw up! Essentially moving on the wings of an airplane during flight, wing walking is right there alongside crazy acrobatics. Basically, a wing walker is fastened on top of an airplane while the plane moves topsy-turvy generally making the walker go mad with fear.

Highlining

If you thought walking a tightrope was an easy feat, think again. Highlining or slacklining is the act of balancing and walking along a highline anchored between two points. Highlining is usually performed between two rock formations with nothing but a deep valley to plunge to beneath. This sport requires a lot of mental capability and accuracy in body movements.

Crocodile bungee jumping

Bungee jumping is passé; what’s in is CROCODILE BUNGEE JUMPING! Jumping off heights that can make one faint mid-air and then landing super close to man-eating crocs is something you definitely need nerves of steel for. Though it may be an adrenaline rush multiplied several times, it still is scary and risky as all hell!

Have you tried any of these top 5 extreme sports before, or have the mind to? But if you’re not completely prepared for it, do not proceed! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
