The world is an unimaginably big place and there’s so much to see that it will spin your head. No matter where you go, there will always be something else that you have missed out on. It is full of strange creatures and stranger places, and you will feel overwhelmed with the number of destinations that beg to be explored! All you can do is try to cover as much of the world as you can in one lifetime and keep wishing for another lifetime or two! Here are 5 dreamy destinations you must visit before you die, just so you don’t miss out on all the beauty and mystery
Pangong Tso, Leh, India
This lake situated high up in the heart of the Himalayas is what made Ladakh as popular as it is today. To reach Pangong Tso, you have to pass through Changla Pass, a high mountain pass that is arguably the highest in the world. This salt-water lake freezes in winter, despite it being saline and you can see ripples and waves despite it being a lake. The lake is enveloped on all sides by the mighty mountains of Leh which make it seem like the scene was right out of a travel magazine.
Vaadhoo, Maldives
It’s not for nothing that the Maldives are the preferred destination for honeymooning couples. What makes them a lot more special and out-of-the-world are the vivid blue waves crashing on the shores of Vaadhoo Island Beach. What you will see is not magic, but the grace of nature herself. This is something called bioluminescence, produced as a result of the Phytoplankton present in the waters of this beach.
Mo’ynaq, Uzbekistan
Nothing can be as creepy and at the same time as mesmerizing as the rusted skeletons of old-world ships in a barren desert land. Mo’ynaq in Uzbekistan was once a thriving port city that went to ruins when the Aral Sea receded, forcing the residents to leave. What was left behind were tons of ships that lie abandoned and lonely in a sprawling bed of sand.
Blue Lagoon, Iceland
This is just what the doctor ordered! In the cool, no scratch that, in the freezing climes of Iceland what one needs is a naturally occurring hot spring that will heat you right up. This geothermal water body is one of the most-visited places on earth and its no wonder why. The sparkling blue water of the lagoon is said to be heated by a natural hot water spring and some locals also hold that the water contains medicinal properties.
Zhangye Danxia Landform, China
Though it may be a little difficult to pronounce and despite what people may say, this landform looks seriously painted on. Found in south-west China, the Danxia landform is a series of sweeping hills that flaunt various shades of red. It looks like a landscape painter had a go at it, with its long stripes of colour all over it. Amazing thing is, this landform is over 80 millions years old formed on account of a red bed of earth.
