Sweat, struggle and success.…these three words aptly describe Mumbai, the city of dreams. The term “Bollywood” has been derived from Bombay, former name for Mumbai and Hollywood, a centre for American films.

Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus:

Formerly known as Victoria Terminus, designed in Victoria Gothic style architecture is listed amongst the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Films like Slum Dog Millionaire, an Academy award winning film and the famous song “Yeh Hain Mumbai Meri Jaan” from the movie C.I.D were filmed here.

Marine Drive:

For cool breeze and unending view of the sea, Marine Drive is the place to be. It gets enlightened by the street lights and is well-known as the Queen’s Necklace. Remember watching Blockbuster hits like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Dhoom? Both these films were shot here.

Gateway of India:

This 85 feet high architectural splendor erected to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in the early 19th Century is a must-visit travel spot in Mumbai. Tourist can also take a boat ride to Elephanta Caves, known for its rock – cut stone sculpture, which is another marvel in Mumbai. Overlooking the Gateway of India is the famous landmark hotel in Mumbai, The Taj Mahal Palace & Towers, one of the best hotels in Mumbai to stay.

Even though flocked by huge population and mushrooming with high-rise buildings, Mumbai has nurtured its natural beauty to the core.
