A big working population resides, sleeps and eats in Mumbai. Also known as “the city that never sleeps” offers a host of ‘on the go’ fast food delicacies to the dwellers of the city.

Let’s take a look at some of the most famous and lip smacking street food you can find in Mumbai city:-

Vada Pav: Vada pav can be regarded as the trademark fast food of this city. This easy to prepare delicacy is one of the most popular street foods you can find in Mumbai City. Vada Pav has its different versions, identical to its western version ‘Burger”. Vada pav is a quick to grab and easy to eat Indian burger consisting a hot blend of potato patties and spices wrapped in a bun or a Pav.

Pani Puri: Pani Puri, also known as ‘Gol gappe’ in some parts of India is another famous street food which can make your mouth water. A crispy fried puri is filled with either potatoes or boiled grams and served with a tangy and spicy liquid prepared by blending spices in the icy cold water. It is one street food Mumbaikars love to indulge and you can find it almost everywhere in the city.

Bhel Puri:  A tasty blend of sweet and spicy chutnies with finely chopped vegetables and puffed rice is what Mumbai calls Bhel Puri. This savory delight attracts a lot of foodies from all walks of life. There are different versions of Bhel Puri available in different parts of the city.

Pav Bhaji: Pav Bhaji-the Mumbai style, also known as Bombay Pav Bhaji in other parts of the country is a street food delight. This dish can certainly make an English gentleman forget all his table manners. The style of eating Pav Bhaji is desi, yet the dish is refreshing and fulfilling. The yummy mixed blend of vegetables served hot with oodles of butter and half butter fried Pavs can make you weak in the knees.
