My stay at Valley View Resort, Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar, the beautiful picturesque hill station is located on the outskirts of the Western Ghats in Maharashtra. At an altitude of 1372 meters, this hill station offers a wonderful climate and a soothing location away from home. I recently visited Mahabaleshwar with my friends on a break. Although I had already been to this picturesque location a several times, but this trip was special. We went to celebrate one of my friend’s wedding anniversary. What made this trip more special was the stay at one of the most famous hotels in the area.

We were a group of six friends and had decided to book our hotel in advance. Booking in advance is a safer and a viable option, since there are many uncertain factors that one can face if he/she doesn’t plan a trip properly. We searched on the web and called several travel agents to get the rates of different hotels in Mahabaleshwar. After a long research, we decided to book Valley View Resort in Mahabaleshwar. According to one of my friend, it was the best choice but I had my doubts.

All my doubts were cleared as soon as we arrived at this stunning resort. The location of this resort seemed perfect and the facilities offered here were fascinating. The resort was budget friendly and offered many services at a very reasonable cost. We had booked deluxe AC rooms and I must admit that the rooms here were very clean and hygienic. The beautiful indoor swimming pool and the in-house utility store were some interesting facilities that I witnessed for the very first time. We also enjoyed the horse riding sessions arranged by the hotel staff. The food was good and the hotel staff was kind enough to offer a beautiful candle light dinner to the anniversary couple.

I learned to play snooker at this resort. I had always found snooker an interesting game, but never really got a chance to play. The hotel offered a number of other recreational sports and activities including table tennis, carrom, chess and video games. The hotel staff was kind enough to allow us enjoy the beautiful night sky from the enormous garden area of the resort.

We enjoyed the trip to the core and the overall experience was mind blowing. Most importantly, the trip was a memorable one for the anniversary couple.
