Shillong Peak: The Shillong peak is located at about 6445 ft. above the sea level and is also a very famous picnic spot for families and groups. The location offers a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas and of the natural splendors surrounding the area.

Elephant Falls: The gigantic Elephant waterfall does justice to its name. The lofty treasure of Shillong is some 10 kms away from the city. The clean water thundering down the green rocks through the mountains is an astounding sight which should not be missed.

Lady Hydari Park: This wonderful park is named after the wife of the Ex Governor of the state of Meghalaya. Showcasing rich Japanese garden beauty, the park has an infamous collection of flowers on offer. The park also has a small in-house zoo with innate creatures, particular to this region.

The best time to visit Shillong is in between October and April. The destination has many budget and luxury hotels. The proximity to the hills makes Shillong a perfect hill station for people looking for a pleasant break from their hectic schedules.
