It is easy for one to lose his/her way in the modern metropolis of Mumbai, what with the overcrowded streets and dizzying roads populated with a large number of cars, rickshaws, buses and what not. The fast pace of this city may be difficult for someone visiting for the first time to digest, and hence it is of utmost importance that he/she find the right place to stay – one which provides utmost comfort and pleasure after a long, harrowing day. The newly opened JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar hotel is an apt example.

My stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar was an unforgettable one. Located in the heart of one of Mumbai’s most happening suburbs of Andheri, the hotel is also, conveniently, only a short drive from the city’s two airports.

I was housed in the deluxe Guest room of the hotel. A sprawling room with elegant interiors and a massive king size bed, it took me some time to come to terms with the extravagance of the place. Never have I felt such luxury anywhere I’ve travelled to, and probably never will. The room service was available all round the clock, and it was prompt and courteous. The facilities provided were top class – the coffee maker was my savior, and they even had a mini-bar, albeit for an extra fee. The bathroom, furnished with elegant marble tiling, had a separate shower and bathtub area and was a rejuvenating and relaxing experience.

Keeping the guests’ security in mind, the room also had its own in-room safe for all my valuables. High speed internet and Wi-Fi were available; apart from this an LCD TV showing all popular channels was provided, along with an iPod dock as well. Having a writing desk always helps and the room also had sufficient electrical outlets for powering all my devices.

The number of dining options at this property left me spoilt for choice. The JW Café serves some savory delicacies of Punjabi and South Indian cuisine; not only that, the coffee house also boasts of an impressive lineup of multi-national cuisines as well. You can head to Romano’s to get your fix on some amazing Italian food. The JW Lounge is the perfect place to unwind at the end of a hectic day, with a drink of your choice.

JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar was an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Mumbai. I would recommend it to anyone making their way to the city.
