London, Bangkok and NY most searched travel destinations
According to a recent survey, London has topped the list of the most searched travel destinations by Indian travellers. Followed by Bangkok and New York, cities like Abu Dhabi, Paris and Toronto are the hottest up and coming holiday destinations for Indian travellers, according to a global travel search site.
A spokesperson for the travel search site said that “Indians are becoming more experimental when it comes to travelling abroad.” There has been a 65 per cent increase in outbound travel among Indian travellers this summer. London topped the list of the most searched travel destinations with an impressive 53 per cent increase in overall searches from India.
According to the study, travellers tend to stay for an average of 22 days in London. Bangkok has become a hotspot for Indian travellers with a 119 per cent year on year increase in searches from India. With its delicious food, endless shopping options, exciting night-life and exotic beaches, it is not for nothing that it’s a hot favourite with Indian holidaymakers. The average stay for Indians in Bangkok is seven days.
New York, on the other hand, has a good 40 per cent increase in year on year searches from India. NY ranks 3rd in the list of the most searched travel destinations by Indian travellers. This is a positive trend as far as the Indian travel and tourism industry is concerned and will only help in boosting business.
