Ooty is visited by wayfarers throughout the year. Etched with tea and coffee plantations, Ooty paints a beautiful picture of nature. The lifestyle is laidback and has a hint of British influence. A visit to the Rose garden

Formerly known as the Nootrandu Roja Poonga, the rose garden is one of the largest in India. At an altitude of 2200 meters, it is situated on the slopes of the Elk hill. With over 20,000 varieties of roses, the rose garden has the largest collection of roses in the country. So if you plan on visiting Ooty any time soon, a visit to the rose garden is a must. Botanical gardens

Mudumalai national park

The Mudumalai national park, also known as the Tiger reserve is divided into 5 ranges – Masinagudi, Thepakadu, Mudumalai, Kargudi and Nellakota. If you are lucky, you might get to spot herds of endangered Indian leopards. The national park also includes a bird sanctuary, which is home to the critically endangered species like the long billed vulture and the Indian white rumped vulture.

Pykara River

Located 19 Kms from Ooty, the Pykara River is sacred according to the Todas. Passing through hilly tracts, the river turns west at the edge of the plateau. Boat houses and other attractions make the Pykara hill a must visit during your time in Ooty.

The Needle hill view point, Emerald Lake and Upper Bhavani are some of the other attractions you can visit when in Ooty.
