Nothing beats the magic of good music when you’re feeling happy and nothing can lift you up like it when you’re feeling down. There are innumerable music festivals that pay respect to this soul-food that are a must-attend at least once in your lifetime. But the sheer number of these festivals make it almost impossible to attend them all, so we have hand-picked some of the world’s best music festivals for you to enjoy!

Tomorrowland – Boom, Belgium
One of the biggest EDM festivals in the world, Tomorrowland puts a fantastical spin to music. First held in 2005, Tomorrowland has since become one of the most attended music festivals in the world, and for good reason. Some of the best EDM artists perform at this event making it one of the most star-studded events in music. Renowned performers like David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Technoboy, Moby and Swedish House Mafia have set the stage on fire at Tomorrowland.

Coachella – California, USA

Coachella
Regarded the world over as one of the most stylish music festivals in the world, Coachella is the time when celebrities and non-celebrities alike dress up in their funky best and let their hair down. Held in California, Coachella features countless music genres like rock, hip hop, indie and EDM. Famous appearances at Coachella include Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, Eminem, Beck, Madonna, Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Paul McCartney.

Glastonbury Festival – Somerset, UK
This 5-day festival in Somerset, England features some of the best contemporary music, and also other art forms like dance, comedy, theatre, cabaret and circus. Notable performers at the Glastonbury Festival include Lady Gaga, Jason Mraz, Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Beyoncé and many more. Started in 1970, the Glastonbury Festival is a charming English event that keeps getting better and better each time.

Primavera Sound – Barcelona, Spain
Primavera Sound, or simple Primavera, is a music festival that takes place every year in Barcelona, Spain in late May or early June. Some of the artists that have performed in previous Primavera editions are Sonic Youth, Lou Reed, Iggy and the Stooges, Neil Young, The Cure and others. Primavera is known for its line-up of new talent and its focus on eclectic and independent music and artists.

Sunburn – Vagator, Goa
Last in the list of the world’s best music festivals is our very own Sunburn! There aren’t many who don’t know about the hottest music festival in India, the Sunburn Festival. This EDM festival is held each year on Vagator Beach, Goa. Considered to be Asia’s largest music festival, Sunburn is everything a music-lover needs. Held over 3 days, it has multiple stages and features some of the best artists playing simultaneously. Some of the best performers at Sunburn till date are Above and Beyond, Shaair n Func, Richard Durand, Paul Van Dyke and others.
