Some of the root bridges are a 100 ft long and are extremely strong. These root bridges take 10-15 years to become fully functional and look like an intertwining wooden maze. These root bridges can take the weight of around 50 people at a time, and believe it or not, these bridges only get stronger with time! The Subansiri River originates in the Tibetan Himalayas and comes to India via Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. This river finally meets the mighty Brahmaputra, becoming one of the largest tributaries of this river.
